A 10-Minute Home Walkthrough Guide
Intense Central Texas summers and humid autumn mornings can take a massive toll on your home’s exterior. Catching paint damage early saves you thousands in wood rot and drywall repairs.

ZONE 1: Siding & Walls (The Bulk Inspection)
Look closely at the sides of your home that get the most direct afternoon sun (usually the south and west-facing walls).
Peeling or Flaking: Is the paint lifting away from the surface in sheets or small flakes?
Blistering & Bubbling: Do you see raised bubbles? (This is a classic sign that Central Texas humidity got trapped under the paint during a previous paint job).
Chalking: Run your hand across the siding. Does a chalky, powdery residue transfer to your fingers? (UV rays break down paint binders over time, causing this fade).

Sprinkler Bleaching: Are there white, rusty, or faded watermarks on your paint from your lawn sprinklers hitting the house?
Soft Wood (Rot): Press gently on the wood trim near the ground or under gutters. Does it feel soft, spongy, or brittle?
ZONE 4: Product & Texture (The Quality Check)
